Stage and Screen Star Paul Giamatti Joins Sci-Fi Film MORGAN

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Paul Giamatti and Toby Jones have signed on for the upcoming sci-fi thriller MORGAN, directed by Luke Scott.

Boyd Holbrook is also in talks to join the cast, which stars previously announced Kate Mara and Anya Taylor-Joy as "a corporate risk-management consultant (Mara) who is summoned to a remote research lab to determine whether or not to terminate a genetically-engineered being (Taylor-Joy)."

Giamatti will take on the role of "a psychologist who has trouble relating to people" with Jones as the facility's chief scientist and Holbrook as a nutritionist.

Giamatti's upcoming projects include SAN ANDREAS, THE LITTLE PRINCE, STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON and more. Among his recent credits are LOVE & MERCY, MADAME BOVARY, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, SAVING MR. BANKS, 12 YEARS A SLAVE, ROCK OF AGES and more.

He last appeared on Broadway in THE ICEMAN COMETH. Before that, he starred onstage in THE THREE SISTERS, RACING DEMON and ARCADIA.

Jones will next be seen in TALE OF TALES, the TV miniseries WAYWARD PINES, THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY - PART 2 and more. Among his past film refits are SERENA, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, MY WEEK WITH MARILYN and more.
