Soundtrack to Disney's FROZEN Regains No. 1 Spot on Billboard Charts!

The soundtrack to Disney's FROZEN can't seem to 'Let It Go' as this week it returns to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, selling 93,000 copies during the week ending Jan. 26, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

That is up 7% compared with its sales in the previous week (87,000). The news marks the album's third nonconsecutive week at No. 1. due to its fall to No. 2 last week when Bruce Springsteen's new release "High Hopes," took over the top spot. This week The Boss' album fell No. 8, selling 26,000 (down 74%).

The soundtrack, featuring performances by Broadway's Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff features original songs by the Academy Award nominated team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (Avenue Q, Book of Mormon.)

"Frozen" is the first soundtrack to spend at least three weeks at No. 1 since 2007, when the TV soundtrack to "High School Musical 2" ruled. The last film soundtrack to spend three or more weeks at the top was "Bad Boys II," which remained on top for four weeks in August 2003.
