Seacoast Repertory Theatre is proud to announce that Let's "B" Reel: Cult Classic Films at The Rep will screen Wet Hot American Summer tonight, August 27th, at 7:30PM. In addition to the screening of the cult comedy, Let's "B" Reel will have its first ever "Quote-A-Long" encouraging audience members to raise their voices and quote along in time with the film.

"Most people end up being very vocal for our screenings..." says Knate Higgins, director of the now award winning Let's "B" Reel/Red Light series. "We wanted to give people the opportunity to really have fun with this film, so we will encourage those who know the lines to shout them out. I love this film so much and it's just so quotable! It's a perfect way to end the summer film series". Also, in true Let's "B" Reel fashion, the audience is also encouraged to dress up in their best short shorts and tube socks for Let's "B" Reel's first ever "Short Shorts Contest" mimicking the fashion of the film. A few other surprises might pop up for the screening as well...

Wet Hot American Summer is a star studded cult comedy that features the work of comedic sketch comedy writers Michael Showalter, Michael Ian-Black and David Wain. The film follows a group of camp counselor's misadventures on their last day of sleep away camp in northern Maine in the early 80's. Full of non-sequitur humor, hilarious montages, musical numbers and unrequited love, Wet Hot American Summer will make even The First Time viewer belly laugh. With such stars as Janine Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Molly Shannon and Paul Rudd, the film was a sleeper hit that reached a unique audience after its initial release. The film is known for its truly gut busting one-liners, which works to the advantage of this particular screening.
