SPARROW DANCE Star Marin Ireland Set for Hampton's International Film Festival

Broadway's Marin Ireland (Neil LaBute’s reasons to be pretty, After Miss Julie) will appear at The Hampton's International Film Festival this weekend to promote her new film SPARROW DANCE. In the film, award-winning filmmaker Noah Buschel turns his lens on the confines of an NYC apartment in this charming and original love story.

Marin Ireland (Reason's to be Pretty,Homeland, The Killing) delivers a stunning performance as a woman struggling with tasks as simple as ordering Chinese take-out and getting her plumbing repaired. Wes, played by Paul Sparks, provides a comical and compassionate backdrop as Ireland’s plumber and romantic interest, balancing the emotional struggle of the agoraphobia that she faces throughout the film. "Sparrows Dance" is a delicate mixture of quirks, romance and drama, utilizing the physical space of a one-bedroom apartment to create an intricate world of solitude that extends far beyond its visible limits.

Marin Ireland (Girl in the Apartment)

Marin Ireland can most recently be seen in the Showtime series Homeland. Other television credits include MildrEd Pierce, The Killing, Boss, and The Good Wife. Marin can currently be seen in the film Hope Springs, opposite Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones. She recently wrapped The Letter, opposite James Franco. Other film credits include 28 Hotel Rooms, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012, Rachel Getting Married, Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, Loss of a Teardrop Diamond, and I Am Legend. Marin has also made her mark on Broadway, receiving a Tony Award nomination and winning a TheatreWorld Award for her performance in Neil LaBute’s reasons to be pretty in 2009. Marin also appeared on Broadway in After Miss Julie at The Roundabout Theatre. Off-Broadway credits include Cyclone, for which she received an Obie Award, Three Sisters at the Classic Stage Company, for which she received a Drama League Award Nomination, Maple and Vine at Playwrights Horizons, In The Wake at The Public Theater, Lie of The Mind at The New Group and Blasted at Soho Rep.
Marin will next be seen as Christine Rosa in the upcoming Untitled Goldwyn/LaGravenese pilot for AMC.

Noah Buschel, Director

Noah Buschel is currently gearing up for production on the neo-noir GLASS CHIN starring Corey Stoll; and MU, based on Maura O'Halloran's “Pure Heart, Enlightened Mind: The Life and Letters of an Irish Zen Saint,” with Jenna Malone attached.

His most recent feature film, THE MISSING PERSON, starred Oscar-nominee Michael Shannon, and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. It was distributed by Strand Releasing to critical acclaim. The film was named in over seven Best Film Lists of 2009 and Buschel was nominated for a Gotham Award for Breakthrough Director.

Noah previously wrote and directed NEAL CASSADY, starring Tate Donovan and Oscar-nominee Amy Ryan, which was released by IFC Films; and BRINGING RAIN, starring Adrian Grenier and Paz de la Huerta, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
