Ryan Gosling & Eva Mendes Name Baby Daughter After Movie Role?

As BWW reported last month, Hollywood couple Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling welcomed a baby girl on Friday, Sept. 12th.

Today TMZ reports that the A-listers have chosen to name their daughter Esmeralda Amada, according to a copy of the baby's birth certificate. 'Amada' just happens to be the name of Mendes' character in the film 'We Own the Night,' in which she starred opposite Mark Wahlberg. Coincidence?

The actors confirmed pregnancy rumors back in July following a adament denial by 40-year-old Mendes during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show. "It's so ridiculous," she said during the February guest spot. "It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy? They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out."

The couple began dating in the fall of 2011 after costarring in The Place Beyond the Pines.
