According to The Hollywood Reporter, Academy Award nominee Rooney Mara is in negotiations to join Hugh Jackman and Garrett Hedlund in Warner Bros. Pictures' upcoming live-action Peter Pan feature, PAN. Joe Wright will direct from a screenplay by Jason Fuchs, with Greg Berlanti and Paul Webster serving as producers.

PAN is an all-new tale about author J.M. Barrie's beloved character Peter Pan, the boy who would never grow up. Should she sign on, Mara would play Tiger Lilly in the film, which features Jackman as the villainous Blackbeard, and Hedlund as Hook. Peter Pan has yet to be cast.

The film is set for a worldwide release on July 17, 2015.

Mara has appeared in David Fincher's film adaptation of the hit novel The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo alongside Daniel Craig, for which she scored an Oscar nomination. She also recently starred in Steven Soderberg's SIDE EFFECTS, AIN'T THEM BODIES SAINTS. Her breakout role was in THE SOCIAL NETWORK, opposite Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield. Mara is currently filming the lesbian drama CAROL with Cate Blanchett.
