The WHBPAC Arts Education Program is looking for 60 local children, ages 5 -16, who want to participate in its Winter Break Musical Theatre Camp. This year, the camp will present Beauty Lou & The Country Beast, an original country western adaptation of the classic fairy tale Beauty and the Beast. The camp will meet daily, Monday, February 18 - Friday, February 22 from 9am - 4pm and the performance will be presented to the public on Friday, February 22 at 7pm. The fee is $400.

Campers will head into the wild, wild west where they are cast on Monday and, by Friday, they are performance-ready with costumes and sets! And when they're not rehearsing, older campers will learn about improvisation, music and acting, while the younger campers will learn about singing and puppetry with the PAC's acclaimed teaching artists.

The goal of the WHBPAC's Nancy and Frederick DeMatteis Arts Education Program is to foster the development of life skills - creativity, social skills, goal achievement and self-esteem - in children ages 5-16 through participation in the performing arts. Young audience members ages 3 and up will enjoy watching their peers perform in this lively, hour long, by kids, for kids musical.
