Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton (This Is Stones Throw Records) will make its world premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 21st & 22nd 2013. The documentary traces the definitive tale behind the Los Angeles-based independent record label Stones Throw Records and explores the label's extraordinary history built by enigmatic label founder and DJ Peanut Butter Wolf (Chris Manak). The label is also throwing a huge bash to celebrate the premiere onJune 20 at Exchange LA featuring many of the label's premiere acts - Madlib, Dam-Funk, J Rocc, Peanut Butter Wolf & tons more.

For the last 20 years, the groundbreaking label has earned its inspiring reputation of being one of the most original and influential labels in the world. Directed by Jeff Broadway, Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton weaves together rare concert footage, never-before-seen archival material, inner-circle home video and photographs and in-depth interviews with the artists who put Stones Throw Records on the map. Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton gives an exclusive look into the label's left-of-center artists, history, culture and global following. The film is Broadway's second music documentary - the first being Cure For Pain: The Mark Sandman Story.
