NewFilmmakers presents four Short Films and three new Feature Films.

Wednesday, August 14th

6:00 PM Special Program

Suel Kim LULLABY CITY
Lullaby City is an omnibus film featuring three intertwining love stories in set in Seoul City. The first story follows a 40 year old sculptor living with her mother, the second a young foreign office worker stuck in his banal lifestyle, and the third a sugar baby with a penchant for expensive handbags.

7:15 PM Second Short Film Program

Neryong Ci TEMPTATIONS OF THE DEVIL
Jamie Nishizaki SCHOOL DAYS SHOOT
This work is a four minute film revolving around the theme of life high school soccer players.While the viewer reminisces on their high school days, they can enjoy a story of club activities and love.B

Boim Hwang DESTINY CALLING
Fate is kind enough to make soulmates come across each other but what if they are a little out of sync?

Nell Eu PASAK
Set in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Fung works at a fish stall in one of the city markets. Her mother in law, Nai Nai, and her run the family business every morning, while her husband, Keong, is absent from work most of the time.

8:15 PM First Feature Presentation

Juhui Kwon FEATURE MOVIE
Soohyun decides to make her first feature in New York, after graduating from a film school. But her friends and the people around her disapprove and are resistant to her movie idea and plans. However, this does not deter her. What deters her from making a movie is that she goes through constant train of thought about filmmaking and herself.

9:30 PM Second Feature Presentation

The NewFilmmakers NY Series screens atAnthology Film Archives on the Lower East Side at 32 Second Avenue & 2nd Street.

Tickets for Summer Screening Series 2013 are only $6 and are good for the whole night's screenings and receptions. They are available at the Anthology Box Office the night of screening.
