New FAST AND THE FURIOUS Attraction Heading to Universal Studios Hollywood
According to The New York Times, a new attraction based on the Fast & Furious film franchise is being planned for Universal Studios Hollywood. FAST & FURIOUS:SUPERCHARGED is set to premiere in 2015. Today, Universal debuted a first image of the attraction on their Facebook page. (at left!)
"Supercharged" will be part of the park's iconic back-lot tram tour, and will surround park Visitors with a 400-foot screen tunnel. Explained Chick Russell, an executive producer for Universal Creative, "We're going to make it feel like those trams are being pulled through the streets at speeds of over 100 miles per hour."
Universal has previously announced that the park's West Coast venue will soon feature a version of "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter," now enjoying great success at their Orlando counterpart.
Director James Wan's Fast & Furious 7 will hits theaters on April 10th. The film stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Tony Jaa, Kurt Russell, Nathalie Emmanuel, Djimon Hounsou, Lucas Black, John Brotherton and the late Paul Walker.
