Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2015, the NBCUniversal Short Film Festival announces a call for entries, seeking the next generation of emerging talent, including writers, directors, producers and actors.

The festival will accept submissions in four categories of narrative short film: comedy, drama, horror and sci-fi. Submissions are encouraged from talent with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Entries must be between 2 to 20 minutes in length. The deadline to submit is May 1, 2015 at http://www.nbcushortsfest.com.

The NBCUniversal Short Film Festival will culminate with semi-final screenings in New York on August 18-19, followed by a showcase and awards ceremony in Los Angeles on October 21 to honor the standout short films and artists. These events provide an opportunity for talent to screen their original work directly for film, network and cable executives, as well as managers, agents and other members of the entertainment industry.

Prizes for the winning artists range from an NBC talent holding deal for the Best Actor to a $60,000 camera package from Panavision for the Best Director. Select finalists may have the opportunity to air their short film on Hulu and other On Demand platform partners.

The NBCUniversal Short Film Festival's partners include Bravo, Chiller, Comcast, E! Entertainment, Esquire Network, Fluency, Focus Features, The Hollywood Reporter, Hulu, Keldof, NBC Entertainment, Producers Guild of America, Oxygen, Panavision, SAG-AFTRA, SAGindie, Syfy, Telemundo, Universal Pictures, USA Network, Directors Guild of America, Producers Guild of America, Writers Guild of America - East, Writers Guild of America - West, Xfinity and Variety.
