Just before its big premiere at SXSW, the musical horror comedy film STAGE FRIGHT has been picked up by Magnet Releasing. Starring Allie MacDonald and Douglas Smith, STAGE FRIGHT also features Minnie Driver and Meat Loaf.

STAGE FRIGHT will hit iTunes and On Demand on April 3, followed by a theatrical release on May 9, 2014.

The movie, written and directed by Jerome Sable, follows a teenager who works in the kitchen of a musical theatre camp and finds herself caught in the clutches of of a masked killer.

MacDonald's recent movie credits include Cinnamon Girl: California Dreamin', And Now a Word from Our Sponsor, The Riverbank, The Barrens, House at the End of the Street and the TV series Longmire, Lost Girl, Haven, Alphas and more.

Smith will next appear on the big screen in Ouija and Hard Drive. His recent film credits include Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, The Boy Who Smells Like Fish and Antiviral. He has also appeared on TV in Betas, Drop Dead Diva, Big Love and more.

Driver's upcoming big screen projects include Blackbird, Return to Zero, A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island and the TV series About a Boy. Her recent screen credits include I Give It a Year, Web Therapy, Hunky Dory, Conviction, The Deep, Motherhood, and more.

Meat Loaf will next be seen in TCB Baby. His recent film credits include All American Christmas Carol, The Moment, Snitch, an appearance on GLEE and more.
