According to Variety, Music Box Films has picked up the rights to the Cairnes brothers upcoming flick 100 BLOODY ACRES. The film marks the first distribution for Music Box's new all-platform inclusive Doppleganger Releasing label.

ACRES, which premiered at the 2012 Melbourne Film Festival, was written and directed by Colin and Cameron Cairnes, follows the rise of an organic, eco-friendly fertilizer business when they discover a secret, key ingredient to their product.

"Music Box Films has eclectic taste and Doppelganger Releasing gives us another avenue to express the full range of our cinematic interests," Ed Arentz, managing producer of Doppleganger said.

Doppelganger will also reportedly release EDDIE: THE SLEEPWALKING CANNIBAL this spring.
