Deadline reports that Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro will co-star in THE GOOD HOUSE, a romantic drama from FilmNation Entertainment and Tribeca.

The film has a script adapted by Michael Cunningham (The Hours) from Ann Leary's novel THE GOOD HOUSE, which follows a realtor in the Northeast named Hildy Good (Streep) who starts over her relationship with a man named Frank Getchell (De Niro), who tries to smooth over the rough edges of her complicated friendship with a woman called Rebecca McCallister.

De Niro and Streep have starred together in The Deer Hunter, Falling In Love and Marvin's Room.

Streep's upcoming projects include Rob Marshall's film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's musical Into the Woods, The Homesman, and August: Osage County. Her past credits include Hope Springs, The Iron Lady, It's Complicated, Julie & Julia, Doubt, Mamma Mia!, The Devil Wears Prada, The Hours and more. Streep has appeared on Broadway in Happy End, The Cherry Orchard, Secret Service, and Trelawny of the Wells, as well as off-Broadway's Wonderland in Concert and Alice in Concert.

De Niro has quite a few upcoming projects up his sleeve, including The Family, Last Vegas, Motel, American Hustle, Grudge Match, The Comedian, Hands of Stone and Candy Store. His past credits include Killing Season, Silver Linings Playbook, Meet the Parents, Analyze This and Analyze That, A Bronx Tale, Goodfellas and more.
