Martin Scorsese to Receive Harold Lloyd Award for 3D Technical Achievement

The International 3D Society has announced that 'Hugo' director Martin Scorsese will receive the Harold Lloyd Award, the Society's highest honor for artistic and technical achievement in 3D. The award will be presented at a ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel on February 1st.

Suzanne Lloyd, the granddaughter of Harold Lloyd and chairman of Harold Lloyd Entertainment praised Scorsese for his achievement in 3D technology. "Marty Scorsese has embodied Harold Lloyd's vision and passion for captivating movie fans around the world for his entire career." said Lloyd.

The Harold Lloyd Award was established by the International 3D society along with the Lloyd Family. Last year, it bestowed the honor on to award-winning director James Cameron.
