Marla Mindelle's Film THE DEVIL'S BITCH to Screen at Friar's Club Comedy Film Festival, 10/27

Broadway star Marla Mindelle's (Cinderella, Sister Act) short film The Devil's Bitch has been named as an official selection in the 2012 Friar's Club Comedy Film Festival. Mindelle stars in the darkly comic musical short, which she co-created with Jonathan Parks-Ramage, New York based writer/producer.

The Devil's Bitch is about a girl who sells her soul to the Devil for fame, fortune and bigger boobs. In return, she must commit Satanic deeds--musically. It's dark, it's campy, and it features some of your favorite Broadway stars singing about pot smoking and murder. Think of it as the "anti-Glee."

The Friar's Club Comedy Film Festival will feature special screenings and New York City premieres of some of the best new comedies. Highlights include the New York premiere of Oscar-nominated director Stephen Frears's new film Lay The Favorite, starring Bruce Willis, Vince Vaughn, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Also premiering is Price Check, starring Parker Posey and directed by Michael Walker, and It's a Disaster starring Julia Stiles, America Ferarra, David Cross, and directed by Todd Berger.

The Devil's Bitch features a cast of Broadway stars, including Matthew Risch Other Desert Cities, Pal Joey), Marla Mindelle (Cinderella, Sister Act), Josh Segarra (Lysistrata Jones), Jeanna de Waal (Carrie, American Idiot), Philip Drennen, Taurean Everett and Jonathan Beard. The musical short is directed by Jake Honig, and features music by Will Van Dyke (Kinky Boots, Rent, The Addams Family) and choreography by Connor Gallagher (Into The Woods).

The Devil's Bitch will screen today, October 27 at 3:30pm. For tickets and more information head to the festival's official website at
