Elisabeth Moss is Keeping Busy With Movie Roles Since Ending MAD MEN

According to Deadline, Elisabeth Moss, known for her roles in MAD MEN and her Tony Award-nominated performance in the Broadway revival of Wendy Wasserstein's Pulitzer Prize play THE HEIDI CHRONICLES, has secured roles in two upcoming movies. Firstly, Moss will play Masha, a self-destructive alcoholic who is extremely unhappy with her life because she cannot be with the love of her life in THE SEAGULL. THE SEAGULL, an adaptation of Anton Chekov's THE SEAGULL from scribe Stephen Karam, will also star Annette Bening, Corey Stoll and Saoirse Ronan and will be directed by Michael Mayer.

After THE SEAGULL, Moss will star in the indie film THE FREE WORLD, alongside Boyd Holbrook. Moss will play a mysterious woman named Doris Lamb whose life collides with a man who is trying to adjust to normal civilan LIFE AFTER being found innoncent of a murder conviction and released from a long prision sentence. Jason Lew is directing THE FREE WORLD and shooting for the movie is set to begin in July in New Orleans.

Moss' other upcoming films include the Alex Ross Perry-directed QUEEN OF EARTH, the Reed Morano-directed MEADOWLAND, the Ben Wheatley-directed HIGH RISE, and the Cate Blanchett-Robert Redford Rathergate film TRUTH. She is also set to star in Robert Mullan's METANOIA with David Tennant.
