Lisa Kudrow: 'There Was Never a FRIENDS Movie. Ever!'

In an interview with CNN Entertainment's Emily Zemler, FRIENDS star Lisa Kudrow put an end to speculation over an upcoming reboot of the popular NBC comedy.

"There was never a "Friends" movie. Ever. So I've always known it's not happening," the actress said in regard to recent reports that the project was underway.

She continued, "...someone came up with a fake story and got some publication to buy the lie that there was going to be a reunion, so I saw on Twitter people were posting this article that NBC was really going to do it. And I went, "Wait a minute, was I not invited? Oh my God, maybe there is one and I wasn't asked to do it." I even had a moment where I believed it because everything around it looked real. It was a good setup."

Asked whether she felt certain the rumors were finally squelched, the Web Therapy star offered, "The creators have put them to rest. NBC has. I don't know who else needs to say, "It's really not happening."

Kudrow is best known for her role as Phoebe Buffay in Friends, for which she received an Emmy Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

She went on to produce, write and star in the short-lived HBO series The Comeback, and is currently starring in Web Therapy which is in its third season on Showtime. She was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Class - Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Program for the show in 2012. She is also one of the executive producers of the NBC reality program Who Do You Think You Are. She was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality-Program for the series in 2012.

She has also appeared in many films, including Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (1997), The Opposite of Sex (1998), Analyze This (1999), Dr. Dolittle 2 (2001), Happy Endings (2005), P.S. I Love You (2007), Bandslam (2008), Hotel for Dogs (2009) and Easy A (2010).
