Step One of Many Entertainment announced today that Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF) has acquired North American rights for the comedy, My Man Is a Loser starring Emmy®-nominated actor, John Stamos (TV's "Full House," TV's "ER" and Broadway: The Best Man, Cabaret) along with Michael Rapaport (TV's "Justified," The Heat), Bryan Callen (The Hangover, Old School, upcoming Ride Along) and Tika Sumpter (upcoming Ride Along, Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas, TV's "The Haves and the Have Nots"). Writer Mike Young (Grounded) makes his directorial debut with the film produced by David Goldin, Eric Bamberger and Vince Maggio. My Man Is a Loser will receive a theatrical and VOD day and date release in 2014.

My Man Is a Loser centers on two married men (Rapaport and Callen) who, in an attempt to be better husbands, enlist their playboy buddy (Stamos) to help get their mojo back. When their attempts backfire, the wives wonder if the new versions of their husbands are even worse, and begin to have a few hijinks of their own.

"The talented cast combined with the film's raunchy comedy will be sure to entertain audiences across all platforms," said Marc Danon, Lionsgate Vice President of Acquisitions and Business Development. "We look forward to working with the Step One of Many Entertainment producers who bring a forward thinking digital and social team to the table to help create excitement for the project."

"We couldn't have chosen a better partner for both the theatrical release and the latest video on demand technologies," said Eric Bamberger, Producer and Co-Founder of Step One of Many Entertainment. "The characters give the story Universal appeal, and Lionsgate will help make the film accessible, whether it's a night out with friends, or at home for movie night."
