Liev Schreiber to Narrate New Films Premiering at Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation
Liev Schreiber, star of the Showtime series Ray Donovan, narrates two new films set to premiere at the Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation's (JPEF) 2013 Tribute Dinner honoring the Bielski brothers and the partisans of the Bielski Brigade.
Schreiber, who portrayed Zus Bielski in the motion picture Defiance, also starring Daniel Craig, is an active supporter of JPEF's mission of educating young people worldwide about the heroic resistance of Jewish partisans during World War II. The Bielski brothers, led by Commander Tuvia Bielski, organized the largest Jewish resistance unit during World War II, saving over 1,200 Jews. Today, there are more than 15,000 descendants of the Bielski Brigade, many of whom will be in attendance, including the youngest Bielski brother, Aron Bell.
