'King's Speech' Director Tom Hooper Tops 2011 DGA Awards

"The King's Speech" director Tom Hooper won the Directors Guild of America's award for outstanding directorial achievement in a feature film at the 63rd annual DGA Awards Saturday night, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The film also took the top prize at the Producers Guild of America's awards ceremony last weekend, and received 12 Academy Awards nominations.

The awards were hosted by Carl Reiner and marked the beginning of the DGA's year-long celebration of its 75th anniversary.
