Katherine Heigl to Star in Ben Lewin's A MOMENT TO REMEMBER

For his follow-up to THE SESSION, acclaimed director Ben Lewin is set to direct Katherine Heigl in the upcoming film A MOMENT TO REMEMBER, Variety reports.

A MOMENT TO REMEMBER is an Americanized remake of a popular Korean film, which was originally based upon the hit Japanese television series PURE SOUL.

The film "centers on a fashion designer is stricken with a disease that wipes away her memory, forcing her husband to desperately try to give her one last memory of their love," according to the site. Sobini films is set to finance alongside Scott Pictures, with Film 360 also producing.

A MOMENT TO REMEMBER is scheduled to begin production later this spring.

Lewin's The Sessions garnered star Helen Hunt an Academy Award nomination this year, and also featured William H. Macy, John Hawkes, Annika Marks, W. Earl Brown, Blake Lindsley, and Adam Arkin.

An Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe-nominated actress, Heigl recently starred in the Lionsgate's, "One For The Money." She is also a producer on the film, which is based on the first novel in author Janet Evanovich's wildly popular Stephanie Plum series. Heigl is best known for her starring roles in the feature films "The Ugly Truth," "27 Dresses" and "Knocked Up," as well as her portrayal of Dr. Isobel 'Izzie' Stevens in "Grey's Anatomy."
