James Spader Cast as 'Ultron' in Upcoming AVENGERS Sequel
Marvel has just announced that James Spader has been cast as Ultron in the upcoming sequel AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. Emmy award-winning actor is best known for playing Alan Shore on both "Boston Legal" and "The Practice," as well as Dr. Daniel Jackson in the Stargate movie.
Ultron, who has been a main villain in the Avengers series, was originally created by Hank Pym. The upcoming sequel will feature favorites from the first "Avengers" film and new Marvel characters never before seen on the big screen,
Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
Spader is known for his eccentric roles in films such as Pretty in Pink, Less Than Zero, Sex, Lies, and Videotape, Crash, Stargate, Secretary, and Lincoln. His TV credits also include Raymond "Red" Reddington in The Blacklist.
