James Franco Eyes BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE
James Franco is ready for some pretty people.
According to Deadline, the always-working actor has just signed on to direct and star in the upcoming film BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE. The film is based upon the true story of playboy Jay Sebring. It was written by Lauren Wild.
The 1960s in Hollywood - the action-packed setting for the love story of Jay Sebring & Sharon Tate. Steve McQueen, Bruce Lee, The Rat Pack, even Jim Morrison were friends of Jay and Sharon. Their love was legend in Hollywood. Their murders at the hands of the Manson 'family' in 1969 effectively ended the sixties' peace-love age of innocence.
The actor is also set to produce with David Bortolucci, Miles Levy, Vince Jolivette, and Julie Yorn.
Franco is now in Park City for the Sundance Film Festival, promoting his latest film INTERIOR. LEATHER BAR, as well as LOVELACE. He'll next be seen in Sam Raimi's OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL. He is best known for movies such as MILK, HOWL, PINEAPPLE EXPRESS, and 127 HOURS.
