James Corden Calls Working With Meryl Streep on INTO THE WOODS 'Slightly Terrifying'

The Knutsford Guardian reveals that James Corden is gearing himself up to work with Meryl Streep in Rob Marshall's film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's musical INTO THE WOODS -- with just a few reservations.

"We've started rehearsing, which is slightly terrifying," Corden said. "I've not met Johnny [Depp] yet. But most of my scenes are with Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt. It's thrilling, it's brilliant."

Corden plays The Baker opposite Blunt as The Baker's Wife and Streep as The Witch. ?INTO THE WOODS is directed by Rob Marshall from a screenplay by original bookwriter James Lapine and is set to premiere in December 2014.

The rest of the confirmed cast for INTO THE WOODS is as follows: Johnny Depp as The Wolf, Anna Kendrick as Cinderella, Chris Pine as Cinderella's Prince, Billy Magnussen as Rapunzel's Prince, Mackenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel, Lucy Punch as Lucinda, Tammy Blanchard as Florinda, Christine Baranski as Cinderella's Stepmother and Tracey Ullman as Jack's Mother, now with Sophia Grace Brownlee as Little Red Riding Hood and Daniel Huttlestone as Jack.
