Hollywood Music In Media Awards at Fonda Theater Set for Tonight

The Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) will be presented at the Fonda Theatre, 6126 Hollywood Boulevard, tonight, November 21 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The HMMA recognizes and honors music of visual mediums and the individuals who create, produce and place compositions in the medium. Additionally, the prestigious awards show honors mainstream and independent music artists from around the globe. Featuring a VIP dinner banquet, live music performances, celebrity appearances, as well as award presentations, the HMMA is the leader in local award shows. Shot in HD for global broadcasts, the HMMA is gaining in worldwide popularity.

Adam Gaynor, formerly of Matchbox 20, Oscar nominated actor, Eric Roberts and noted Hollywood director/writer/producer Andy Fickman host the event, now in its fifth year.

Just some of the nominated film scores and composers are Steven Price for Gravity; Henry Jackman for Captain Phillips; Steve Jablonsky for Enders Game; Mark Isham for 42; and Michael Giaccino for Star Trek Into Darkness. From the television side, nominees for best score include Atli Örvarsson for Chicago Fire; Jeff Beal for House of Cards; Christopher Lennertz for Revolution and Nathan Barr for The Americans.

Video Games, Soundtrack Album, Songs and other music in visual media are honored, as well. In fact, HMMA is the only music award show to present award categories in Outstanding Music Supervision. Traditionally, many of these same nominees will receive nods from both the Oscars and The Golden Globes.

Special live performances by Amy Weber, Simon Andersson, Heaven and Earth, Lizzie Sider, Laguna Pi and Best Male Vocalist nominee Mike Bauer will round off this star-studded evening.

Media Check in starts at 4:30 p.m., Red Carpet begins at 5:00 p.m., Banquet and VIP seating at 6:00 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m. The post awards gala begins at 10:00 p.m.
