Get Shipwrecked in the Bay Area Discovery Museum's Interactive Play, The Explorers

This is no ordinary play! Get ready to be shipwrecked at the Bay Area Discovery Museum this November and work together to find your missing shipmates. Children ages 0-8 are invited to engage in a site-specific interactive play with fall Artist-in-Residence, Barry Eitel. Each performance will be completely unique based on input from the audience. There will be costumes, props, music and more! Who can tell where our adventures will land us?

In the month of October, visitors to the Museum participated in rehearsals with Eitel during which they made costumes and built props that will be used in the three interactive performances on site at the Museum this month. Free with Museum admission, families are invited to join the fun and work with Eitel to see where the action takes us. This creative event is also educational, using child-directed and open-ended exploration of the site and props to solve the mystery of the missing crew.

The first performance is Sunday, November 16 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and an RSVP is required. No RSVPs are required for the performances on Saturday, November 29 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and Sunday, November 30 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Learn more and RSVP at http://www.baykidsmuseum.org/shipwrecked.
