Random Media has announced that Paul Wright's FOR THOSE IN PERIL will open theatrically in Los Angeles today, October 3 at the Arena Cinema in Hollywood. FOR THOSE IN PERIL stars George Mackay (Sunshine on Leith, How I Live Now) in a Scottish BAFTA Best Actor performance and Kate Dickie ("Game of Thrones", Filth). The supporting cast includes Michael Smiley (The World's End, "Doctor Who") and Nichola Burley ("Death Comes to Pemberley").

From BAFTA winning writer/director Paul Wright, FOR THOSE IN PERIL was the Official Selection at the SXSW Film Festival and the Critic's Week Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. The film won Best Feature Film at the 2013 Scotland BAFTA Awards and received a BAFTA nomination for Outstanding Debut in 2014. Considered one of the most promising newcomers in the industry, Wright won Best Debut Director at the British Independent Film Awards and received two nominations at the Scotland BAFTA Awards for Best Director and Best Writer for For Those in Peril. This "surreal and haunting exploration of grief and superstition," according to ViewLondon, is one you don't want to miss.

Aaron, a young misfit in a remote Scottish community, is the LONE SURVIVOR of a strange fishing accident that claimed the lives of five men including his older brother. Spurred on by sea-going folklore and local superstition, the village blames Aaron for this tragedy, making him an outcast amongst his own people. Steadfastly refusing to believe that his brother is dead, and possessed by grief, madness and magic, Aaron sets out to recover him.
