According to Deadline, Allison Williams of GIRLS fame (and daughter of news anchor BrIan Williams) is on the "short list" to take on the iconic role of 'Sue Storm' in the FANTASTIC FOUR film reboot from Fox. Though talks are in the "Early Stages," studio execs are reportedly extremely interested in landing the rising star.

FOX has enlisted Josh Trank (CHRONICLE) to direct the film, produced by Matthew Vaughn. Seth Grahame-Smith, author of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE WITH ZOMBIES and ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, was also brought on to rewrite sections of the script.
Sources have also confirmed that the reboot is approaching the Fantastic Four in a more grounded way, taking the route of Christopher Nolan's BATMAN films. The impending reboot is also said to explore the mythology and lore of the acclaimed comic series.
As of now, the film is set for a Spring 2015 release.
According to Marvel, "The Fantastic Four is an internationally-renowned group of superhuman champions (often dubbed the world's premiere super hero team or The First Family of super heroes) based in New York City and dedicated to the betterment of the world through scientific discovery and defense against evil."
The Fantastic Four are a long-time hot Marvel commodity. FOX has developed two films based upon them, including 2005's FANTASTIC FOUR and 2007's FANTASTIC 4: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER. The films starred Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chicklis.
