Tonight, January 7th from 7 to 8 p.m., Strand welcomes Farran Smith Nehme and a special panel of film experts to celebrate the release of her novel, Missing Reels.

Beat the chill with the Strand and Nehme as they celebrate the release of her book Missing Reels, about a girl who ditches a small town in favor of the glamorous but fading old movie houses of New York City. What she finds in New York--romance, intrigue, a secretly famous silent movie star in the apartment below--rival the dramatic revelations of the old Hollywood films that inspired the novel itself.

Farran's invited a panel of film experts, including Vanity Fair's James Wolcott; critic and author of the fan favorite Wes Anderson Collection Matt Zoller Seitz; and Anne Helen Petersen, author of the recent release Scandals of Classic Hollywood. It's a must for film buffs and Hollywood historians alike!

Buy a copy of Missing Reels or a $15 Strand gift card in order to attend this event. All options admit one person. Please note that payment is required for all online event orders at the time of checkout. The event will be located in the Strand's 3rd floor Rare Book Room at our store at 828 Broadway at 12th Street.
