Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination and a unit of NBCUniversal, has appointed veteran brand strategist Adam Rockmore to the position of Vice President of Marketing. He will lead The Marketing Group and report directly to Paul Yanover, President of Fandango.

"Adam is a seasoned marketer who has built leading brands in both the broadcast and digital spaces," said Yanover. "His expertise will help us shape new brand initiatives and positioning that will guide our strategic business and programming decisions. I am excited to have Adam join our team, as Fandango continues to expand the moviegoing and entertainment experience for consumers across the country."

Rockmore served as a strategic marketing executive for many years within ABC, most recently in the position of SVP of Marketing for ABC Daytime and SOAPnet. Rockmore also held the position of SVP Marketing at ABC News, where he spearheaded integration between on air and online to drive a program-focused digital strategy and create a more robust consumer experience. In addition, Rockmore spent time as VP of Marketing, E-Commerce & Public Relations at Food Network, where he helped grow the channel to 90 million subscribers, built successful relationships with high-profile partners and directed the network's brand strategy. He also oversaw strategy, marketing and user experience for Scripps Networks' online stores Shopathometv.com, Foodnetwork.com, HGTV.com, and DIYnetwork.com.

Rockmore joins the company on the heels of Fandango announcing the launch of its first original video series, "The Frontrunners," hosted by Chief Correspondent Dave Karger. Fandango recently enjoyed the top-performing month (November 2012) in its 12-year history, with record highs in both ticket sales and online and mobile traffic growth.

Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination, sells tickets to more than 20,000 screens nationwide. Fandango entertains and informs consumers with reviews, commentary, celebrity interviews and trailers, and offers the ability to quickly select a film, plan where and when to see it, and conveniently buy tickets in advance. For many theaters, fans can print their tickets at home or receive them as a paperless Mobile Ticket on their smartphones.

Fandango is available online at www.fandango.com, via smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices, and at 1-800-FANDANGO. Fandango's top-ranking movie ticketing apps, with nearly 30 million downloads, are available on the iPhone and iPad, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone 7 and many other platforms.
