Emmy Winner Tom Pelphrey to Make Appearance at Warner's Screening of TIGER LILY ROAD, Today

Emmy winner, Tom Pelphrey one of the stars of award winning Indie Film Tiger Lily Road will make a personal appearance at the Q&A after the screening with director, Michael Medeiros. The screening will take place in the theatre's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre on Saturday, March 15 at 7:30pm.

Mr. Pelphrey, who won two Emmy Awards for his work as Jonathan Randall on the daytime drama,Guiding Light also recently starred in the Broadway smash hit, End Of The Rainbow. The film which was shot locally, also stars a cast of New York trained actors including Litchfield native, Ilvi Dulack and NY theatre legend, Rita Gardner (the original girl in The Fantastiks). It also features cameos by a number of local talents including John Fabbri, Beth Steinberg, Elizabeth MacDonald and Gerri Griswold. This female driven story was produced with the belief that there exists a large, under-served market for women's stories on the screen.

There will be a post screening Q&A with the filmmakers including Tom Pelphrey, Ilvi Dulack and director, Medeiros.

TIGER LILY ROAD was written and directed by Michael Medeiros. Tiger Lily Road took home the top Audience
Award for feature length comedy at the 22nd Woods Hole Film festival on Cape Cod and won Best Screenplay at the Cincinnati Film Festival. It features cinematography by Nils Kenaston (The Holy Land -Slamdance Grand Jury Award) and an original score by Milosz Jeziorski.

Michael Medeiros directed the 2007 dramatic short Underground which played festivals internationally. As an actor he has appeared in over a hundred film, TV and stage projects, among them: X-Men First Class, RoboCop 2,multiple episodes of Law & Order, The Master & Margarita at Bard Summerscape and Camino Real at Chicago's Goodman Theatre.

Built by Warner Brothers Studios and opened in 1931 as a movie palace (1,772 seats), the Warner Theatre was described then as "Connecticut's Most Beautiful Theatre." Damaged extensively in a flood, the Warner was slated for demolition in the early 1980s until the non-profit Northwest Connecticut Association for the Arts (NCAA) was founded and purchased the theatre. The Warner reopened as a performing arts center in 1983, and restoration of the main lobbies and auditorium was completed in November 2002. In 2008, the new 50,000 square foot Carole and Ray Neag Performing Arts Center, which houses a 300 seat studio theatre, 200 seat restaurant and expansive school for the arts, was completed. Today, the Warner is in operation year-round with more than 160 performances and 100,000 patrons passing through its doors each season. Over 10,000 students, pre K-adult, participate in arts education programs and classes.
