Three-time Emmy Award-winning actor Brad Garrett, best known for his role as "Robert Barone" on the hit TV series Everybody Loves Raymond, has been tapped by the Writers Guild of America, West to host The 2014 Writers Guild Awards on Saturday, February 1, at the JW Marriott L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles. This year, the WGAW is teaming UP with The Los Angeles Times to webcast the L.A. show live on latimes.com, at 6:00 p.m. PST.

"Writers have always been the backbone of our business, and I'm thrilled to be able to celebrate their big night - plus, I have two hours left to complete my community service," said Garrett on hosting this year's WGA show.

"We're absolutely thrilled that Brad will be our host. With Brad, you not only get one of television's great comedic actors, but also a fearless stand-up comic, a truly hilarious observer, and a consummate professional," said 2014 WGA L.A. show Executive Producer Cort Casady.

Garrett has won three Emmy Awards and a SAG Award for his portrayal of brother/NYPD cop "Robert Barone" on the long-running Everybody Loves Raymond (1996-2005). He was also nominated for an Emmy and SAG Award for his portrayal of "The Great One" Jackie Gleason in the telefilm Gleason. In addition to recently co-starring on the ABC comedy series How to Live With Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life), he is currently guest-starring as "Gordon Lewis" alongside Robin Williams on the CBS comedy The Crazy Ones. Garrett's other TV credits include co-starring as "Eddie Stark" on FOX's 'Til Death (2006-10), as well as stints on Monk and Rosanne.

An in-demand voiceover actor, Garrett's trademark voice has been heard in over 20 animated features, including contemporary classics such as A Bug's Life, Casper, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, Tangled, and Planes. Garrett's screen credits roles in Not Fade Away, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, Music and Lyrics, Suicide Kings, and Sweet and Lowdown. He also performed on Broadway in a revival of the classic Neil Simon comedy The Odd Couple.

With a stand-up comedy career spanning 30 years, Garrett was one of the youngest comics ever to appear on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and in the late 80's he opened for Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr. Recently, he opened his own Brad Garrett's Comedy Club at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where he performs regularly to sold-out audiences.

The Gallery division of Simon and Schuster purchased Garrett's autobiographical book, When The Balls Drop, an honest look at life's second half, which he adapted for ABC and 20th Television Studios.
