Watson has been in talks for the film since her Harry Potter days working with director David Yates. When Watson's franchise commitment was too much, Emily Blunt was approached to star. But now that the project has left the domain of Warner Bros., Watson is back in the picture.

Forrest is a journalist, novelist and screenwriter. Her 2011 memoir concerns the death of her psychiatrist and her subsequent break-up with her partner. She also penned the script for the movie adaptation.

Alison Owen is producing (Saving Mr. Banks) with Benaroya Pictures' Michael Benaroya (Lawless, Margin Call).

Watson last appeared on the big screen in The Bling Ring, with a cameo in This is The End. She will next be seen in Noah. Her past credits include The Perks of Being a Wallflower, My Week with Marilyn, the Harry Potter franchise, and the TV movie Ballet Shoes.
