Ellen Page Plans Directorial Debut with MISS STEVENS
The pint-sized (though enormously talented) Ellen Page is lining up her first go as a director.
The film follows Faris, "a teacher whose life is in disarray when she chaperones a group of high schoolers on a weekend trip to a state drama competition. There, through the admiration and humanity of her students, she rediscovers her own self-worth," Deadline reports. Written by Julia Hart (THE KEEPING ROOM,) Gilbert Films and Anonymous Content are set to produce.

She has also starred in the indie drama/thriller HARD CANDY, X-MEN: THE LAST STAND, and TOUCHY FEELY, which just premiered at Sundance. It was recently announced that Page is also set to reprise her role as 'Kitty Pryde' in Bryan Singer's X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.
Faris is best known for her starring role in the SCARY MOVIE series, as well as roles in LOST IN TRANSLATION, CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS, and THE HOUSE BUNNY. The comedian is also set to star in Chuck Lorre's comedy pilot MOM.
