Dermot Mulroney to Lead INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dermot Mulroney has signed on to star in the third installment of Blumhouse's INSIDIOUS franches.

INSIDIOUS (2010) and INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 (2013) proved to be major box office successes. Leigh Whannell, who wrote the first two films, will return to pen the third installment, with Focus Features' future CEO Peter Schlessel (FilmDistrict), Jason Blum and Sony Pictures producing.

The most recent installment from famed horror team of director James Wan and writer Whannell featured Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Barbara Hershey and Ty Simpkins.

The sequel to the original supernatural film followed the haunted Lambert family as they sought to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that left them dangerously connected to the spirit world.

Dermot Mulroney has appeared in over 65 films with starring roles in such hits as: My Best Friend's Wedding, Stoker, About Schmidt, Longtime Companion, The Family Stone, Young Guns, The Wedding Date, Where The Day Takes You, The Last Outlaw, The Grey, and soon to be released August: Osage County. Dermot has appeared in numerous T.V. programs including Fox's New Girl and HBO's Enlightened, and will star in the upcoming NBC series Crisis.
