David O. Russell to Reteam with Jennifer Lawrence for THE ENDS OF THE EARTH

David O. Russell, acclaimed directer of SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK, and Jennifer Lawrence are poised to reteam for the upcoming film THE ENDS OF THE EARTH, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The film follows an oil tycoon who loses everything after being caught in an affair. THE ENDS OF THE EARTH, written by ARGO's Chris Terrio, comes from The Weinstein Company.

"Jennifer possesses a self-deprecating humor that made all of the cast and crew feel at ease," Russell told The Hollywood Reporter. "She is that kind of person. She is the most dedicated person I know. She is devoted to her family and they have been the true inspiration for her character and integrity. Her acting is effortless and she always makes it look easy."

Lawrence first garnered praise for her role in WINTER'S BONE (2010), which earned her an Oscar nomination, and ultimately, the role in THE HUNGER GAMES. Most recently, she can be seen opposite Bradley Cooper in SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK.

Aside from SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK, Russell has also helmed such films as THE FIGHTER, I HEART HUCKABEES, and more.

Lawrence and Russell will also re-partner with Bradley Cooper on an upcoming untitled feature revolving around the Abscam sting of the 1970s.
