American entrepreneur and investor Chris King has launched a film production company, Cruzach Films, Inc. and will allocate $15 million to fund new film and TV projects. Cruzach Films has started production on its first feature film, What Lola Wants in partnership with The Bubble Factory and legendary producer, Sid Sheinberg. Sheinberg is an icon in the movie business, known for discovering Steven Spielberg along with his work on projects that include Jaws, Schindler's List, ET, and Jurassic Park.

Written and directed by Rupert Glasson (Coffin Rock) and produced by Monnie Wills (The Darkest Hour and Made in China) and Ayisha Davies (SAW and Coffin Rock), What Lola Wants will star Aussie actress Sophie Lowe (ABC's Once Upon a Time), Beau Knapp (JJ Abrams' Super 8) as well as Robert Taylor (Longmire) and Dale Dickey. Lowe plays the title character that runs away from home and stages her disappearance as a kidnapping. In a desert diner she meets a guy played by Knapp and they head for Mobile, Alabama, pursued by Sinister forces. Her parents offer a reward of $1 million for her safe return.

"I am very excited about the direction we are taking with Cruzach Films. I believe there is a huge opportunity to put out great content and engage directly with the audience today, better than ever before," says King, adding "the way consumers receive content has drastically changed over the years thanks to social media and digital avenues like iTunes, Netflix, YouTube and others. It's all about having believable content and engaging with your audience."
