Craig Ferguson, one of Britain's leading comedians will be appearing at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Tuesday, December 1st at 8:00pm. Tickets go on-sale Friday, July 31 at 10am.

Ferguson took his comedic talent to the states in 1995, first staring with Betty White and Marie Osmond in the ABC comedy, "Maybe This Time," and then later appearing in "The Drew Carey Show" from 1996 to 2003. Craig came into his own on the "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," winning his first Emmy nomination in 2006, as well as receiving the 2009 Peabody Award for Excellence in Broadcasting for his interview with Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Since then he has expanded his comedic knowledge into the world of film, writing feature films such as "The Big Tease" and "Saving Grace." You might even recognize his voice in some of the most beloved animated films, including Disney's Winnie The Pooh (Owl) and Brave (Lord Macintosh).

Ferguson's talents don't end on the big screen. He has become a huge success on the North American comedy circuit, performing in sold-out theatres all over the country, including Carnegie Hall and New York City's Radio City Music Hall. Additionally, Craig's widely acclaimed stand-up comedy specials have premiered on Comedy Central, Home Video, and Epix. His third special, "I'm Here to Help" even garnered him a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album. And let's not forget about his wildly acclaimed novel, Between The Bridge and The River, which made it onto the best seller list for its bizarre adventure through love, greed, hope, revenge, and organized religion.

Tickets are $20-$50 and are available at VanWezel.org, the Box Office, or by calling 941-953-3368.
