It had been previously rumored that Peggy Carter (Haley Atwell) would make an appearance in the upcoming Marvel Universe film Ant-Man, but Comingsoon.net is now calling the rumor confirmed thanks to a casting noticed placed near the film's shooting location in Atlanta.

The Project Casting notice is as follows:
'Casting directors are looking for an actor to work as a stand-in for the actor Haley Atwell. Haley Attwell is 31, 5'7 and 112 pounds. She is best known for her work in stage productions such as A View from the Bridge, and in films such as Cassandra's Dream, The Duchess, The Pillars of the Earth, and Captain America: The First Avenger. In addition, casting directors are looking for a body double that meets certain requirements.'

Rumors originally claimed that Michael Douglas' Hank Pym would have a flashback at S.H.I.E.L.D. where he would encounter founding members Peggy Carter, Howard Stark, Armin Zola, and young Alexander Pierce.

Ant-Man is the story of a conman named Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) who has the ability to shrink in scale but gain strength. Lang must embrace his inner hero and team up with mentor Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) to protect the secrets of his Ant-Man suit. Lang and Pym must pull off an improbable heist to save the world.

Directed by Peyton Reed, the film features actors Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Abby Ryder Fortson, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, John Slattery, Gregg Turkington and T.I.. The film is set to hit theaters on July 17th, 2015.
