Chris Pratt in Talks to Join JURASSIC WORLD?

Chris Pratt could be heading to JURASSIC WORLD.

According to Variety, the Parks and Rec star could take over the role originally set to be played by Josh Brolin. Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson are also in negotiations.

SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED's Colin Trevorrow will direct the film, featuring a script by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. The film is currently slated for a June 12, 2015 release.

The first film, released originally in 1993, was recently re-released in 3D April 5. It starred Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum , Samuel L. Jackson and Richard Attenborough , the film based on the novel by Michael Crichton is produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Gerald R. Molen .

Pratt's upcoming big screen projects include Delivery Man, The LEGO Movie and Guardians of the Galaxy. He is known for his role as 'Andy Dwyer' on NBC's Parks and Recreation. His past film credits include Her, Zero Dark Thirty, The Five-Year Engagement, Moneyball, Jennifer's Body, Bride Wars, Wanted and more. He has also appeared on TV in The O.C. and Everwood.
