Chris Pratt not only plays a hero in the hit film GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, he apparently is one in real life as well.
The 35-year-old stopped by the L.A. Children's Hospital Wednesday dressed in character to give kids a special screening of his new space adventure film. He also helped hand out toys to the kids.
To show their gratitude, the hospital turned to Twitter yesterday to share a picture of the event, along with the caption: "Star Lord (@prattprattpratt) cheered up our patients by sharing #GuardiansOfTheGalaxy! Thanks for making them smile!"
Marvel Studios Guardians of the Galaxy from director James Gunn hit theaters on August 1st. The action-packed, epic space adventure, the movie expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe.
To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits-Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand-with the galaxy's fate in the balance.
The film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Michael Rooker, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro.
