Broadway Actress and Star of THE HONEYMOONERS Shelia MacRae Passes Away at 92

According to published reports, Sheila MacRae, film, TV and Broadway actress known for her portrayal of 'Alice Kramden' on the TV series THE HONEYMOONERS, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014. She was 92.

Among her TV credits outside The Honeymooners are appearances on I Love Lucy, General Hospital, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Jackie Gleason Show, The Love Boat, and, more recently, Parenthood and Murder, She Wrote.

MacRae appeared on Broadway in 1965's revival of Guys and Dolls, followed by Absurd Person Singular in 1974. She married actor Gordon MacRae in 1941, and they appeared together onstage in Guys and Dolls. The couple divorced in 1967.

On the big screen, MacRae played a role in Caged in 1950, as well as Bikini Beach and How to Stuff a Wild Bikini. She produced the film The Perils of P.K. in 1986.
