Bergen County's Heather Braverman to Premiere New Work at Santa Barbara International Film Festival
Bergen County's own Heather Braverman's latest film, "Night Has Settled", will premiere later this month at the prestigious Santa Barbara International Film Festival. The indie, set in 1983, was directed by Steve Clark and features Braverman as Lila, a natural beauty who plays the girlfriend of the film's main character Oliver Nicholas.
Heather has been acting professionally since age 6. She has appeared in musicals, television and film. She has had roles in NBC's Law and Order SVU's, CBS's The Guiding Light and ABC's One Life to Live. Heather recently played the role of Samantha, a fashionista in the feature film Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life. An accomplished singer, Heather is currently working on her first solo album.
Heather also serves as a spokesperson for the Fare Food Allergy Research and Education. Both she and her sister live with very serious food allergies. This national charity gives Heather the opportunity to increase awareness, help raise money and educate teachers and students about severe food allergies. She has taken her crusade nationwide and was a featured speaker at the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) Convention in Virginia.
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) welcomes promising and established filmmakers. The 2014 lineup offers a rich selection films representing 60 countries. The Festival begins Thursday, January 30 and continues through Sunday, February 9, 2014. No date has been set for the premiere of "Night Has Settled".
