In her long awaited debut, guest star Nina Dobrev is vying for the Tatiana Maslany award for number of different characters played. "Tatia" makes her first appearance on tonight's episode as a past love of Elijah's. Now we have to figure out which Mikelson killed her.

We are introduced to Tatia in a flashback as one of Elijah's first loves. Esther is still holding Elijah hostage trying to "cleanse" him and in doing so, she is forcing him to remember his past, including Tatia. In Elijah's memory, Esther killed Tatia, but Esther is trying to force Elijah to remember that it was he who killed her and Esther just disposed of her.

On the patriarchal side of the Mikelsons, Mikel is in Klaus' trunk and Klaus is still pretty miffed at Kaleb/Kol and Davina. Cami is trying to help the injured Davina, but Klaus couldn't really care less since she brought Mikel back. When Cami goes to pull the car around, she is snatched up by Mikel. In the interim, Klaus figures out that Kaleb is actually his little brother Kol and is none too happy to see him. Their reunion is short-lived when they realize Mikel and Cami are gone. Mikel has taken her as collateral. When Klaus finally catches up with them, Mikel has bitten Cami and the father and son have another battle, this one way more satisfying than last week's. However, this time it is Klaus that ends up with the White Oak stake in his chest. Simultaneously, Davina and Kol have tracked them down and do a spell to suck the magic out of the stake temporarily while Cami retrieves it. Hayley and Marcel arrive to assist as they outnumber Mikel and he takes off.

Hayley informs Klaus that Elijah is missing. Back at Esther's Hayley shows up to save Elijah and we get a VERY deep kiss and an incredibly sensual feeding between the two. Too bad it's all a fantasy that Esther has implanted in Elijah's mind and he is still hanging from the chains defenseless.

Oy, that was incredibly frustrating, but we all should have known better. There aren't happy endings for this Mikelson crew. They're not going to throw in a huge Hayley/Elijah moment like that in Episode Five. There was also some nice tenderness happening between Cami and Klaus. And Marcel didn't seem the least bit jealous. Has that love triangle run its course already?

I still don't think Cami is a very interesting character, but I did enjoy her mini therapy session with Mikel. It's probably too late to still hope for a Klaus and Caroline pairing, right? I need to move on. Now that Kol has been outed, is he going to join Klaus in helping Elijah? He seems pretty scared of Esther and he knows Vincent/Finn is pretty crazy. Although that bloody nose trick was pretty amusing when he didn't answer his phone. I think Vincent/Finn is off his rocker, but he does provide some good laughs. So now the hunt is on for Elijah. Will Hayley and Klaus be able to locate him before Esther's "plan" takes hold? I'm guessing not. I am thinking that he is going to be fully brainwashed and join Esther and we're going to see some real brother vs. brother action as Klaus is going to realize just how much he needs his dear brother. Elijah saved him all those years ago, the time has come to return the favor.

What I Know:

  • Esther is ruthless. That was SO cruel teasing him (and us) with that Hayley fantasy.

  • Kaleb/Kol (or can we just call him Kol now?) is for real into Davina. I feel as though that may complicate things.

  • I'm thinking Kol is the most realistic about his parents. Everyone else thinks they can either defeat them or kill them. Kol knows they're crazy and he's just treading water.

What I Don't Know:

  • Esther and Finn don't know Mikel's alive yet, do they?

  • Wouldn't Mikel remember Marcel? He was around back then, wasn't he?

  • Is Esther just messing with Elijah or did he really kill Tatia?

Lines I Love:

  • Vincent/Finn - I despise voicemail.

  • Davina - I could give you a list of people who have underestimated me. Not one of them has done it a second time.

  • Mikel - In times of need, even the devil eats flies.

Were you extremely excited then immediately disappointed like I was at the Hayley/Elijah moment? Was this Klaus/Mikel battle a little bit more gratifying? Was that the last of Tatia? Something tells me she'll be back, at least in flashbacks.
