PGP (The Peter Gusmano Project) is a cutting edge rock 'n' roll trio delivering a blistering mix of rock guitar instrumental compositions and the best classic rock 'n' roll covers from the '70s and beyond. Started by Peter Gusmano, the group is a live project that was developed to promote Guitar for a Cure, a 501(c3) official charity (also formed by Gusmano). 100% of all CD sales are donated to Project A.L.S., and the project has thus far raised over $20,000 for A.L.S. research. Guitar for a Cure has been named as a top independent fundraiser for the charity for the last three years.

America quickly became a household name, with an impressive string of hits following that first No. 1 single. Over 40 years later, these friends are still making music together, touring the world and thrilling audiences with their timeless sound.

Since leaving Collins's band in 1991 she has released 11 CDs, been honored with countless award nominations and a Blues Music (W.C. Handy) Award, and continues to grow as one of the world's outstanding blues players.

Debbie Davies's rise to the upper echelon of blues music started at an early age as she absorbed the music heard constantly in her home. Her professional musician parents were either sitting at the piano or spinning discs on their turntable, filling the air with the sounds of big band jazz, harmony vocal groups, or the pop icons of the day. But the young Davies was particularly attracted to the bluesy sounds of her father's Ray Charles records, and by the age of 12 she realized that her affinity for an instrument was not for the piano, but for the guitar.

The '80s theater rock band The Tubes first formed in San Francisco in the previous decade. The band's live performances are infamous for their inclusion of pornographic material, as well as their satirical commentary on politics, media, and consumerism. The Tubes' origins date back to Phoenix, Arizona, when two young bands from that area – The Beans and The Red, White, and Blues Band – moved to San Francisco in the late '60s. The band slowly but steadily earned a cult following, thanks largely to the strength of its live shows, which featured Bill Spooner's outrageous songs and Fee Waybill's eccentric cast of characters, including drugged-out frontman Quay Lewd and country singer Hugh Heifer.

What do Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Jay McShann, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, John Hammond, Jimmy Witherspoon, Dr. John, Maria Muldaur, Roomful of Blues, and The Rockin' Highliners all have in common? The answer: Duke Robillard. Guitarist, leader, songwriter, singer, producer, session musician, and a one-man cheering section for the blues in all its forms and permutations, Robillard is a true legend in the blues community. A Grammy nominee and four-time recipient of the Best Blues Guitarist award from the Blues Music Awards (formerly the W.C. Handy Awards), he has won accolades from critics and fellow musicians alike. B.B. King himself called him "one of the great players," and The Houston Post labeled him "one of God's guitarists."

Sultry chanteuse Lavay Smith evokes a sensuous era of glamorous jazz divas and sexy pinups while adding a modern, feminist twist all her own. Whether singing her own compositions or drawing on a large repertoire of classics, Lavay and her all-star eight-piece band, the Red Hot Skillet Lickers (whose members have performed and/or recorded with Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat "King" Cole, Frank Sinatra, Wynton Marsalis, Ray Charles, and more), bake up an instant recipe for good times.

State-of-the-art Zydeco from a masterful musician and performer. Chenier flavors the Red Hot Louisiana Band's bayou beats with elements of funk, blues and ballads, and puts the foot tapping, can't stand still sounds throughout traditional Zydeco.

C.J. Chenier, son of the 'King of Zydeco' Clifton Chenier, joined his father's Red-Hot Louisiana Band playing saxophone at the age of 21. After Clifton's death in 1987, C.J. picked up the accordion and took charge of his father's ministry – to spread the word of Zydeco music to the world. Since then, Chenier has pushed the genre to new heights with his virtuosity. The Boston Globe has called him "the crown prince of zydeco," and Living Blues magazine hails him as "the best living zydeco singer and accordionist." His musical style ranges from the traditional Zydeco of Clifton Chenier right on up to modern funk with healthy doses of blues, R&B, swamp pop and even country. C.J.'s total mastery of the accordion combined with his rich, satisfying voice are the driving forces behind this power-house zydeco band.

When Pure Prairie League (PPL for short) formed in the late 1960s, no one had a label for the music the band played. Although the group drew heavily from '60s rock, it added a heavy dose of country and high-flying harmony that gave it a unique sound soon to become known as country rock. Beginning as a group of young musicians playing cover tunes in local bars, PPL soon signed to the RCA after staff from the label caught a band performance in Cleveland, Ohio. The group released its eponymous debut in 1972 and quickly followed up with Bustin' Out that same year.

The Rising is a brotherhood of friends, some with ties that date back nearly two decades. Much like Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, they take the stage more like a gang than a band. They collectively roll up their sleeves and go to work, night after night. They were all cut from the worn denim of blue collar towns, and they paid musical dues playing dive bars and juke joints. What you hear is the musical truth. What you see is the embodiment of friendship, and what you feel is the spiritual healing that can only be supplied by a great rock 'n' roll band.
