Anthem Studios Release Trailer for Animated Short LIFE OF BRI' N CHRIS

iReach/ Anthem Studios is releasing two new all new animated characters in 2015 with the short film 'Life of Bri' n Chris'. The trailer is available online today.

The film is a comedic tale of Bri', a scottish Common Lizard, and Chris, a hapless Australian Chameleon, whose overly competitive attitude leads to a crazy accident.

It's a clash of personalities and ego as Chris and Bri flat share in typical macho style, constantly trying to out do each other. Chris is desperate to make it big, to make it anywhere, and after knock back after knock back he finally gets his big break - or so he thinks!

The project has been more than two and a half years in the making and is a collaborative effort with artists and sponsors pooling talents to create the 8 minute film on very little budget.

Michael Wakelam wrote and directed the project in London. "I really loved the challenge of creating lovable characters within 7 or 8 minutes - characters you'd want to see again."

Born in Australia, Wakelam moved to London several years ago and began working in motion design and animation. "For me, it's really important when working in a creative industry to allow space for PASSION projects, otherwise the spark that got us doing this in the first place is in danger of being extinguished." He is currently writing feature length animation and live action projects and developing other short form stories.

What started out as a small PASSION project quickly grew as other talented artists came on board. Wakelam adds, "The project took on a life of it's own, which was really challenging, as I had to learn to produce as we went. It was a steep learning curve and gave me a huge appreciation for the work of producers. As the project grew, I saw the potential for the characters and the world we were creating. Although I was working on other potential feature length projects, this world started to reveal other stories too. So hopefully the characters will find an audience."

The project couldn't have happened without the generous support of companies such as Adelphoi Music, Chaos Group and Rayvision. Chaos Group provided access to their powerful Vray rendering software. Adelphoi Music, a talented group who work on global agency projects supported the film from the start, working on sound design, score and an original song. Rayvision, based in China, provided the rendering power.
