In an all-new interview with The Daily Beast, INTO THE WOODS star Anna Kendrick reveals that she was 'so pissed' at actor Jake Gyllenhaal for pulling out of the upcoming big screen adaptation of the Sondheim musical.

Kendrick, who portrays Cinderella in the film, shared her disappointment upon hearing that Gyllenhaal would no longer be portraying Rapunzel's suitor in the classic storybook tale. "I know! I was so pissed at Jake, let me tell you," Kendrick says, "I texted him and said, 'You're abandoning me, and I'm never going to forgive you!' "

According to reports, Gyllenhaal was forced to withdraw from Rob Marshall's musical project to star instead on the indie thriller "Nightcrawler."

Kendrick went on to joke that she forgave her 'End of Watch' co-star when she saw the film's final results. "then I saw the trailer to NIGHTCRAWLER and texted him again and said, 'Wow, you inspire me every day,' " she says, adding that "Billy [Magnussen, Gyllenhaal's INTO THE WOODS replacement] is really fantastic."
