Angel Light Pictures' Antonio Saillant Named Brand Award Judge

The Green Festivals Expo today announced that Antonio Saillant, Founder of Planet Greenfest and Angel Light Pictures has accepted the invitation to be a Brand Award Judge in San Francisco.

Antonio Saillant, one of New York's most prolific sustainable Film and TV producer, is also set to deliver a keynote at the Green Festival Expo SF, "Sustainability Within the Entertainment Business," scheduled on November 15, will be part of the the Green Festival Creative featured program.

This year's event will take place at the Cow Palace 2600 Geneva Ave, Daly City, CA 9401

The Green Festival is the largest and longest-running sustainability event in the United States, now in their 14th year. Their mission is to bring together the world's most trusted companies, innovative speakers, national and local innovative businesses, conscious consumers and pioneering thinkers like yourself, in one place to promote the best in sustainability and green living.

Last year Green Festivals, Inc. premiered an array of new ways to better connect local communities with there expo by introducing two new awards that recognized brands and communities making each city healthier and more sustainable.

The Green Festival Brand Award recognized a leading innovator in sustainable business that is making a significant impact on the lives of consumers in each city. Moreover, The Green Festival Community Award provided a $5,000 grant to a deserving regional non-profit in each of the five festival cities for their outstanding sustainability-focused projects. Attendees participated in the voting for both awards, and vendors and non-profit partners used social media to help raise awareness and increase participation.

The process is as follows: The public will vote for their favorite exhibitor online prior to the show. The 5 finalists Green Festival Brands will be selected by popular vote. On Sunday, November 15 at 11:00 am the judges will visit the finalists' booths (along with press and media) at the Green Festival show, speak to them about their product and then select their ranking for the best Green Festival brand. On Sunday, November 15, 3:30pm the winner will be announced from the Green Festival Stage.

This year's San Francisco Brand Award Judges are:

Antonio has been a strong advocate in his Going Green Campaign, emphasizing the need for an increase of sustainable education, not just in entertainment but the workforce and schools, etc. Antonio serves on the Advisory Board for the Green Festival and heads the Film ant Television Industry division.

He is in development of two important sustainable events, Rock it Green [Web-Talk Show and Podcast] and Planet Greenfest [Worlds Only Green Short Film Festival] produced by Angel Light Pictures and Dream Destinations. Best known for being a leading voice for energy policy to protect the quality of life. Antonio is truly dedicated to tackle our region's energy challenges and harness the economic opportunities presented by clean renewable energy. He feels that his responsibility as a filmmaker is to continue the commitment to reduce the impact on climate change and the environment, and to be on the forefront of sustainable business practices.

Antonio worked on high level filmmaker's projects, learning the nuts and bolts of production. He spent several years shadowing his dear friend and mentor, Canadian Director, TED Kotcheff, whose film credits include: "First Blood", "Wake in Fright", "Uncommon Valor", "Fun with Dick and Jane", "Weekend at Bernie's", "First Blood", "North Dallas Forty", "The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz" and former Executive Producer of NBC's Law & Order: SVU, had worked together on the set of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and this experience gave Antonio the inspiration to work as an independent filmmaker along side of directors Sidney Pollack, David Platt, and Peter Leto, which allowed Antonio in creating highly visual and meaningful cinema.

Prior to starting his own company, Angel Light Pictures Entertainment Group, He was an Energy Consultant to corporate giants such as Con Edison and pharmaceutical companies for many years, which helped Antonio in expanding its range of services to include environmental consulting with leading American and international corporations in Green Productions. Angel Light Pictures, continues his vision and passion for creating energy efficiency in movies and television. The motion picture industry is a large user of electricity for it's sound stage shooting and diesel fuel for its location filming [that it is a clear target for energy conservation].
