Oscar show co-producer and Hairspray helmer Adam Shankman is appealing to his Twitter followers for suggestions in how to attract a big audience for the 2010 Oscar telecast, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The most popular suggestions so far include having Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart present together, and enlist the services of So You Think You Can Dance regulars (for which Shankman is a judge).

One such tweet reads: "If Rob and Kristen present an award together, or even just Kristen since she wasn't invited (rude!) last yr, I'd 4 sure watch."

Reads another: "I will watch the Oscars no matter what, but my excitement factor will be ten-fold if you have Sytycd [So You Think You Can Dance] alumns in the show."

Programming announcements are forthcoming.

Shankman's directorial credits include "Bedtime Stories" (2008), "Hairspray" (2007), "A Walk to Remember" (2002) and "The Wedding Planner" (2001). His upcoming projects include "Rock of Ages," "Sinbad," "Bob: The Musical" and "Bye Bye Birdie." In addition to directing, Shankman, along with his sister, Jennifer Gibgot, produce films through their shingle, Offspring Entertainment. Together they are currently producing "The Last Song," "Going the Distance" and "Step Up 3D," all set for 2010 release.
